  • Vincent C. Ashton President & Chief Executive Officer
    • Vince Ashton is President & Chief Executive Officer at HealthPass New York, a role in which he oversees the sales, member service, operational, strategy, and policy components of the health insurance exchange.  Mr. Ashton has been member of the organization since its inception, when he joined as the Director of Sales in 1999.  He was promoted to the position of Executive Director in 2004, and was elevated to President & Chief Executive Officer in late 2011.  A nationally recognized expert on health insurance exchanges, his noteworthy career has been characterized by his strong leadership and forward-thinking advice and insight. By employing a dedication to maximizing organizational efficiency and production, while incorporating the highest servicing standards, HealthPass has catapulted into a desirable health insurance option for small businesses and has moreover met its missions of expanding access to health care for small businesses and the working uninsured. 

      With over 15 years of experience in the health insurance industry, Mr. Ashton is an innovator who contributes his expertise through participation in and consultation to work groups, committees and panels exploring federal-, state- and local-level health insurance reform efforts. Particularly, he lends his expertise to other communities seeking to tackle the dilemma of uninsured working individuals and small business owners through adoption of the HealthPass small business commercial health insurance exchange model.

      Mr. Ashton holds a Bachelor of Arts from the College of the Holy Cross and resides in Tinton Falls, NJ with his wife and son.
  • Lynda Coismain Director, Administration
    • Lynda Coismain is Director of Administration at HealthPass New York and joined the organization in May of 2004. In this role, Ms. Coismain leads the servicing team to expertly resolve personal and complex servicing issues professionally and with sensitivity while communicating detailed information to HealthPass brokers and clients. Her other primary responsibilities include overseeing the development, implementation and streamlining of policies and procedures that facilitate enrollment improvements. Previously employed with Medtronic, a leader in cardiovascular technology, she served as the Senior Quality Assurance Analyst for 10 years. Ms. Coismain’s scope of experience has spanned virtually all aspects of the health industry, focusing on servicing, team building and leadership.

      An alumnus of New York University, Lynda holds her Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and is completing a Master’s degree in Arbitration and Mediation. Ms. Coismain enjoys contributing her free time to mentoring young adults and supporting various charities within her community.
  • Kristine Eidher Director, Sales
    • Kristine Eidher is the Director of Sales at HealthPass New York and joined the organization in September of 2002. In this role, Ms. Eidher oversees the development of product and service offerings as well as the management of the sales team – including the external broker sales network. Prior to her appointment as Director of Sales, Ms. Eidher held the position of Sales Manager, a role in which she cultivated loyal brokers, streamlined the broker development process, expanded the organization’s sales force and implemented computer applications designed to streamline overall operations. Her career includes prior experience in sales, promotions and marketing where she honed her administrative and managerial skills.

      An alumnus of Florida International University, Ms. Eidher holds a Bachelor in Health Information Management and a minor in Health Affairs. She is a licensed Life & Health Broker in New York and New Jersey.
  • Rudolph Miele Chief Financial Officer
    • Rudolph Miele joined HealthPass New York as its Chief Financial Officer in March 2011, and is responsible for financial oversight of the organization as well as for human resources and information technology.

      Mr. Miele previously held the positions of Chief Financial Officer and Controller for Centralized Laboratory Services, a HIP Health Plan of New York company, from 1996 to 2010. His responsibilities in these positions included oversight of all financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting and managed finance-operations. As a member of the senior management team, he also advised on business strategy, developed financial and operating metrics, and made enhancements in reporting and analysis. Prior to joining Centralized Laboratory Services, Mr. Miele worked in corporate internal audit with HIP Health Plan of New York, holding various positions including Assistant Director of Internal Audit. In these formative roles, he performed financial and operational reviews of HIP’s operations and companies, and their independent medical groups and healthcare claims processing organizations.

      Mr. Miele holds an MS in Accounting from Pace University and a BA in Economics from St. Francis College. He lives in Brooklyn with his wife and son, and has been active with the Boy Scouts of America for over ten years, most recently as Assistant Scoutmaster with a Brooklyn scout troop. He also teaches accounting as an adjunct instructor at a local two-year college.
  • Jonah Morrison Director, Operations
    • Jonah Morrison joined HealthPass in 2002 as an Account Executive, and has held various positions during his tenure at the organization, including, most recently, Director of General Agent Sales. In his current role as Director of Operations, a position he assumed in 2011, he oversees and manages the organization’s plans for future growth and is part of a team that monitors and administers many of the organization’s day-to-day operations. Throughout his longstanding tenure at HealthPass, Mr. Morrison has significantly contributed to the organization’s achievement of its missions of helping expand access to health care for small businesses and stemming the tide of the working uninsured.

      Mr. Morrison holds a Bachelor’s degree in History from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and recently earned a MBA from Hofstra University.

    • Ms. Pickering is President & CEO of Northeast Business Group on Health, HealthPass’ parent company, and is a nationally recognized expert on employer health benefit and wellness issues.
  • William E. Gold, Ph.D.
    • Mr. Gold is President of Gold Health Strategies and also serves as a clinical professor of health policy and management at the Mailman School of Public Health at Columbia University.
  • Michelle Martin
    • Ms. Martin is Director of Health and Welfare Benefits at CBS Corporation, where she is responsible for the strategy and design of benefit plans and health improvement programs.
  • William Shanahan
    • Mr. Shanahan is the Vice President of Human Resources and Total Compensation at Montefiore Medical Center, a major academic medical center in the Bronx, NY and the university hospital for Albert Einstein College of Medicine.
  • Jerrold Ehrlich Advisor to the Board
    • Mr. Ehrlich is a senior attorney in the Health Care and Life Sciences Practice at Epstein Becker & Green, P.C., where he concentrates on managed care and the regulation of insurance companies, managed care companies and providers, as well as mergers and acquisitions of insurers and managed care companies.
