HealthPass is a private, New York health insurance exchange providing companies in the New York metropolitan area accessible and affordable health insurance coverage. As part of an exchange, employees have the ability to choose health insurance and benefit plans to fit their needs and budget. The exchange allows employees to pick from a wide range of insurance carriers, provider networks, metal levels and plan types.

After an employer sets a defined contribution (DC) amount, each employee chooses the plan that is right for their personal and family's medical needs and budget. Since 1999, the HealthPass choice model has empowered members to personally select their plans based upon their unique needs and budgets. HealthPass offers a well-rounded menu of options offered through industry leading insurance carriers with choices including health, dental, vision, life, and disability and accident coverage. 

Brokers, employers and members benefit from the state-of-the-art technology and extensive support provided by the HealthPass team including a streamlined administrative process, member-claims advocacy, COBRA administration and knowledgeable client services.

HealthPass is available to companies with 1-100 full-time equivalent employees. Companies must be located in the five boroughs of NYC, Long Island, Westchester, Rockland, Orange, Putnam, Dutchess, Ulster or Sullivan counties to be eligible. Eligible employees residing in the tri-state area (including Bucks County, PA) can enroll. In addition, HealthPass will cover up to 75% of enrolled employees who reside outside of the coverage area. Employers can set eligibility requirements, waiting periods and contribution levels. These simple eligibility standards make health insurance accessible to even more employers than in a traditional direct to carrier relationship.
